Kennel History

We were given our first Saluki in Iraq in 1961. She was a smooth given to us by an expatriate going home; he had acquired her from the Sheikh of Kuwait's own kennels as a pup, pictured here with our son. Having fallen for the breed we vowed to have Salukis when we would return home, so in late 1969 we had our first Saluki from the Tahawi kennels. Our foundation bitch was a semi rescue pewter and white parti from the El Saluq kennels.
